One year later...

After a few hours of flight testing, a flaw in the nose gear became apparent. As you can see from the picture, the protruding metal gear mount is now bent. It appears to be bent forward in this picture because I bent it that way. However, what had been happening is that the rolling resistance from takeoff, taxi and landing had bent the wheel back and so I thought I would fix it so it wouldn't do it again by bending it forward. This presented new problem as the plane became unstable during all ground maneuvers. This was the cause for the plane tipping over on landing one afternoon and scraping the heck out of the left fuel pod. I am working on a solution to the problem and I will report on the causes and corrections to the problem in a future post. Thanks for following! Please Follow!
